Back in July, Huawei reported they will launch a new tablet called the MediaPad 7 Lite. And today, the China-based company announced that the tablet will be found in the market at a price of US$ 312.

They also provide technical specification of those tablet. The tablet uses 7-inch IPS screen size with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. And using Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

And, as mentioned earlier, the tablet is equipped with the ability to send SMS. Other features, the tablet is also equipped with 3G capabilities, WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity.

The MediaPad 7 Lite powered by ARM Cortex-A8 1.2GHz processor with 1GB of RAM. For storage, this tablet has an 8GB internal memory.

But the price is quite expensive, it appears that the tablet is likely to be quite difficult to compete. By comparison, Google’s Nexus 7 which offers Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and quad-core processors offers only 199 USD price tags.
