MediaTek is a company known for making chipset for smartphones and other devices. Today they announced the MT6572, which is claimed as a system-on-a-chip (SoC) for a new generation of entry-level Android device.
Although optimized for low-cost device, it does not mean lack of features. The chip-based on dual core Cortex A7 CPU with a maximum speed of 1.2 GHz and energy saving, manufactured with 28nm processing. The chip is integrated with WiFi, FM Radio, GPS and Bluetooth.
While the GPU is said to be able to handle 720p video recording and playback. Cameras that can handle a maximum of 5 megapixels, while the resolution can be up to 960×540 pixels (qHD).
