Samsung has just announced that they will begin producing a new component this year. The new components are low-power mobile DRAM double data rate 3 (LPDDR3) with a capacity of 4GB.

DRAM is also intended for the use of smartphones and tablets. Samsung said that they use 20 nanometer technology, DRAM is also very suitable for use in high-end smartphones and tablets in the future.

Compared with 30nm DRAM LPPDR3, the latest components from Samsung is also providing increased performance. In a statement, Samsung said that the DRAM has a 30 percent better performance and 20 percent is less power efficiency than the previous product.

Samsung was likely to use these new components in their upcoming products. Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy Note II and Nexus 11 is also rumored to be produced by Samsung and using the LPDDR3 component.
