Apple has officially unveiled their new generation of iPad, the iPad Air and iPad Mini (aka iPad Mini 2). Interestngly, both device is packs with retina display screen.

Apple iPad Air is the successor to the Apple iPad generation, the new iPad Air is packs with 9.7 inch Retina Display screen. The design is 20% thinner and 28% lighter than the fourth-generation iPad with a narrower bezel. While the second-generation iPad Mini has also packs with 7,9 inch retina display screen that is more sharper, clear and detailed. The design is the same as the previous iPad Mini but it is powered by 64-bit A7 chipset with built-in wifi and LTE connections plus the latest iOS 7 software.

The second-generation iPad Mini screen now has the same resolution as the iPad Air that has 2048 x 1536 pixels (326 ppi), is more dense than the first generation iPad Mini resolution is only 1024 x 768 pixels. The A7 chip on iPad Air and iPad Mini is supports OpenGL ES version 3.0 and use the new M7 coprosesor control handle accelerometer, gyroscope and compass so the A7 chip could work more efficiently.

Both models of the iPad has two antennas that supports technology Multiple-In-Multiple-Out (MIMO), which can improve performance up to 300 Mbps WiFi be added to complete LTE cellular connections into a single model.

On the side of the camera, both the iPad using the new front camera with rear illumination sensor with larger pixels. 5 megapixel rear camera with fixed and better optics is faster performance and better than ever in terms of taking pictures and video.

Apple also said that it is now available in more than 1 million apps in the App Store with more than 475 thousand apps which are designed specifically for the iPad. Apple also introduced the iTunes Radio as the internet radio service that is free from iTunes.

Apple offers iPad Air WiFi from 1 November at a price of USD 499 for the 16GB, $ 599 for the 32GB model, $ 699 for the 64GB model and $ 799 for the 128GB models. Apple sells iPad with WiFi Air + cell on the same day with prices starting at $629 for the 16GB model. While the iPad Mini with Retina Display wifi version will be available in late November at a price of $399 for the 16GB model to $699 for the 128GB models. Apple iPad Mini with Retina Display models of cellular + WiFi will be available with prices starting at $529 to $829 for the 128GB model in the United States.

Apple on the occasion also announced a price drop for iPad mini from $299 for the 16GB wifi model and $429 for the 16GB wifi + cellular models. Apple iPad 2 is also coming down in price and sold from $399 for the 16GB model and $529 for the 16GB wifi + cellular models.

To complement the two new tablet, Apple's new Smart Cover also provides a price of $39 is available in various color options. Apple also provides a new Smart Case for iPad Airprice of $79 and $69 for iPad Mini.

In addition to the United States, both the new iPad will be available starting November 1 in various countries such as Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Hong Kong, Japan, Macao, Singapore, England and other European countries.
