Surprisingly Ascend P7 Mini scheduled to be released prior to Ascend P7. However it is good to have both phones that will cater to different market segments.
The dimensions of Ascend P7 Mini are 130 x 65.5 x 7.5 mm or in inches these are 5.12 x 2.58 x 0.30. It weighs 115 g or 4.06 oz, which put this phone in the lightweight ambit. The touchscreen is 4.5-inch with the resolution 540 x 960 pixels (245 pixel per inch). As it is mid range phone so don’t expect much from resolution’s point of view. Similarly, it doesn’t have Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Ascend P7 Mini runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset. The processor speed is 1.2 Ghz. It uses Adreno 305 GPU with 1GB RAM. It runs latest apps and games without glitches, although it is not very fast as compared to its cousin Ascen P7.
It sports 8 Megapixel rear camera with 3264 x 2448 pixels, LED flash and autofocus. There is front camera, in camera arena the specs are the same as of Ascend P6. The Ascend P7 Mini is running Android Jelly Bean 4.3. Where as the Ascend P7 will run latest Kit Kat 4.4.2. It has 8GB internal storage, which could be extended to 32GB through microSD slot. The power is powered by a Li-Po 2000 mAh battery which may be sufficient for a day or 2 or normal usage.
Ascend P7 Mini is a good and interesting for budget conscious people. The phone will cater to those who don’t want big screen. The name attached with this Mini phone is to allure for the better version Ascend P7 or to bank on the hype of Ascend P7. The phone will be available for an expected price of 250-300 Euros or $340 to $410. It will be available in two colors; black and white.
