ZTE has just released its latest smartphone called the Blade S6 Plus which is a larger and slightly more powerful version of the Blade S6. It features a larger 5.5-inch HD IPS touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (720p) as well as a larger 3,000 mAh lithium-polymer battery. The S6 Plus retains the same design of its smaller brother including the circular Home button which has been standard in recent ZTE smartphones including their also recently announced Nubia Z9.
The Blade S6 Plus is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 64-bit 2.0GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. It also features 4G LTE connectivity along with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. The rear camera of the new device is equipped with a 13-megapixel sensor while the front-facing camera is a 5-megapixel shooter. It also supports dual SIM standby and is also equipped with an infrared transmitter. The Blade S6 Plus will also come with Android 5.0 Lollipop with the company’s MiFavor 3.0 user interface on top.
ZTE has announced that the European price of the Blade S6 Plus will be around €249.99 or around 1700 Yuan making it a cheaper alternative to the company’s higher-end Nubia Z9 but more expensive than the smaller Nubia Z9 Mini.
