Today, image renders of the Oppo R7 were leaked through Chinese social media site Weibo. Additionally, renders of a larger, previously unknown R7 variant, the Oppo R7 Plus, were also leaked.
While the leaked renders of the R7 reveal that Oppo has foregone its previously expected bezel-less design, the image renders of the newly leaked R7 Plus show that the larger variant of the R7 features razor thin bezels. The renders of the R7 Plus surprisingly look a lot like the Mate7 from Huawei only without the rear fingerprint sensor and LED flash. The absence of the LED flash is actually quite concerning but reports suggest that the R7 Plus will use an IR laser focus for its camera. The R7 Plus is also said to feature a 6-inch 1080p or 2K screen, 3GB of RAM, and will be priced at around 3,000 Yuan.
Both the R7 and R7 Plus are rumored to be powered by a MediaTek MT6795 octa-core processor and will be released sometime within the first half of the year.
