Just the other day, image renders of the Oppo R7 Plus were leaked and today, pictures of what looks like an actual unit have been leaked through Chinese social networking site Weibo.
The first noticeable thing about the leaked pictures is the disappearance of the bezel-less design that was seen in the previously mentioned leaked image renders. It’s worth noting that the bezel-less design was also missing from the Oppo R7’s design when pictures of it were leaked recently as well.
Additionally, an Oppo logo is now present at the bottom area of the device where a home button or capacitive touch buttons would otherwise be placed. This leads to the conclusion that the Oppo R7 will use on-screen virtual touch buttons instead.
Reports say that this leaked unit could possibly be just a test unit and might not be the device’s final design so there’s still hope that the bezel-less design expected on the Oppo R7 Plus will still make an appearance.
It’s rumored that the company plans to officially release the Oppo R7 and R7 Plus on May 20. With the string and frequency of leaks of the R7 and R7 Plus recently, it wouldn’t be surprising that more details or pictures would be leaked soon especially if the May 20 launch date is true.
