The InFocus M530, one of the first devices to feature MediaTek’s MT6595 octa-core SoC, can now be purchased for only 1199 Yuan from some retailers.
If you’re not familiar with the InFocus M530, it was launched earlier this year and features a high-end rear camera with a 13-megapixel Sony IMX214 sensor, a wide aperture of f/1.8, optical image stabilization, and a dual tone LED flash. Its front-camera is a 2-megapixel shooter with auto-focus and an 80-degree wide-angle lens.
As previously mentioned, the InFocus M530 is one of the first devices to feature the MT6595 octa-core SoC from MediaTek which runs at a frequency of 2GHz and supports LTE. Other devices that use the MT6595 are Lenovo’s Vibe X2 and the Meizu MX4. The MT6595 is coupled with 2GB of RAM and also comes with 16GB of internal storage and a 3,100mAh battery. The device features a 5.5-inch 720p resolution screen and measures 157 x 77 x 9.1mm with a mostly plastic build and an aluminum frame.
The InFocus M530 supports 4G/3G/GSM, dual-SIM standby, NFC, and OTG connectivity. Additionally, the device is an OEM of Foxconn so the device’s quality is somewhat assured. Foxconn is the manufacturing firm behind the iPhone 6 and some of Meizu’s devices and InFocus is the company’s own smartphone brand.
