We haven’t heard much about Ramos’ first smartphone since renders of the device were leaked early last month but today we get some new images direct from the company’s Weibo account.
While smartphone shown in the image posted by Ramos is just a render, it reveals a bit of information regarding the company’s first entry into the smartphone market. First off, clearly shown on the image is the label, MOS1, which is most probably what the company plans to call its first smartphone. From this we can also expect the company’s second-generation smartphone to be called the MOS2.
It also looks like the upcoming device will feature dual-sided 2.5D glass panels similar to the Vivo X5 Pro but with the addition of a bezel-less design. The smartphone in the image also features curved corners which, if kept for the actual device, will make the whole smartphone look rounder. A front-facing camera as well as a light sensor can also be seen in the render along with the device’s earpiece colored in the company’s signature blue.
Not much else is known about the MOS1 but at least this small release of information on it is assurance that the company is serious about launching their first smartphone. Ramos has been one of China’s biggest tablet manufacturers for years and it’s good to see them finally expanding their reach and bringing their expertise into the smartphone market.
