With Meizu’s conference in Beijing, China, already happening next week on June 30, there’s been a lot of speculation over what the company plans to unveil at the event. But the speculation may as well come to an end as it looks like the company is set to unveil their next flagship MX5 as its specifications and GeekBench benchmark scores leak online.
The specifications of the MX5, which were leaked from TENAA, include a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen with a display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a MediaTek MT6795T octa-core processor running at a frequency of 2.3GHz, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage space, and a 3150mAh battery. The leaked information also shows that the MX5 is equipped with a 20-megapixel rear camera, a 3-megapixel front-facing camera, and a home button fingerprint sensor.
As for the GeekBench scores, it looks like the scores of the MX5 varied with a slightly disappointing single-core score of only 965 but an impressive multi-core score of 5352 points. When compared to the scores of the Galaxy S6 Edge and the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro, while the Meizu MX5 places behind both devices in the single-core department, it beats both devices handily when it comes to multi-core performance.
If these specifications and benchmark scores are accurate then the excitement for the MX5 should go up especially since the device is rumored to be priced at only 1,799 Yuan.
