VKworld has unveiled the VK560 smartphone which the company claims to be the cheapest smartphone with a 5.5-inch display and a MediaTek MT6735 processor.
Priced at only $112.99, the VK560 is definitely an affordable smartphone. Aside from its aforementioned 5.5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) display and MediaTek MT6735 processor, it also features 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a 2850mAh battery, and Android 5.1. It also features a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The company claims the VK560 has a stand-by battery life of up to 180 hours and a battery talk time of up to 3 hours.
The VKworld VK560 features a simple and straightforward design. The company has foregone popular features such as 2.5D arc glass panels and bezel-less designs to achieve its very low price. Based on the released pictures, it will come in either a black/grey or a white/silver color variant. The black/grey variant features a textured back cover and the white/silver variant looks like it comes with a smooth back cover.
While some of the specifications of the VK560 seem to be very low and outdated including its display and memory its very low price might be enough to forgive those shortcomings. We’ll have to see how well the device does when it launches sometime this month.
