Huawei has unveiled another mid-range smartphone today called the G8 which just received its TENAA certification a few days ago.
The Guawei G8 is classified as a mid-range smartphone but packs a few high-end features including a 5.5-inch full HD 1080p display and a fingerprint sensor which we’re starting to see in more smartphones outside of the high-end category.
The new smartphone also features a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, an Adreno 405 GPU, a 3000mAh battery, and will be available in two RAM and storage variants – 2 GB RAM with 16GB of internal storage variant and a variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Additionally, the G8 also support microSD cards up to 64GB.
The G8 is also equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and will run on Google’s latest Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with Huawei’s Emotion UI running on top. Connectivity-wise, it will support 4G/LTE as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Aside from the two RAM/storage variants, the Huawei G8 will also be available in either White, Gold, or Black. The 2GB/16GB model will be priced at US$370 while the 3GB/32GB variant will cost US$434.
