Four Flagships Compared – Ulefone Be Touch 2, Elephone P7000 & P8000, Blackview Alife P1 Pro

by Martin 13

With the large amount of smartphones being launched every year from many different manufacturers, it sometimes becomes challenging to choose which smartphone to buy. YouTuber user “Daniss wong” posted a video showing off and comparing some of the features of four of this year’s current flagships.

The devices in the video include the P7000 and P8000 from Elephone, the Blackview Alife P1 Pro, and the Ulefone Be Touch 2. The video shows off and compares the interfaces of the four smartphones including the home screen, settings page, notifications drop-down, and more. All four devices featured Android 5.0 or 5.1 Lollipop-based operating systems so all of them had similar interfaces, menus, and interface animations.

The video also compares the camera interfaces of each of the four smartphones which revealed that while the Be Touch 2 and both devices from Ulefone used a cropped camera interface the Alife P1 Pro featured a full-screen camera interface even though all devices were running Lollipop-based operating systems and all four devices feature 13-megapixel rear cameras.

All four devices are currently available for purchase through several online retailers with the cheapest of the four being the Blackview Alife P1 Pro which is priced at only $139.99 while the Elephone P8000 is priced at a close $169.99 and lastly the Ulefone Be Touch 2 and Elephone P7000 are both priced at $229.99.

I am seriously and deeply lost what should I get:
    -Elephone p8000.
    -Ulefone be touch 2.
    -UMI iron.

Elephone has an edge with the battery (if the specs are true) and notification led.
Ulefone better CPU/GPU and front fingerprint but no notification led.
UMI has soft buttons and best looking phone but no fast charge and no fingerprint.

Each has pros and cons! I’m very lost!

I’m open to suggestions! I need a sub 200$ phone!

I would skip all of these and look at either the Jiayu S3 or Asus Zenfone 2.

      • Georgea

Well I would certainly go in this case for the Asus!
Nothing against Jiayu but I think the phone is at the end of its life span and that it has no standing feature (fingerprint etc…).
Asus has at least 4GB ram!

        • balcobomber25

End of it’s lifespan? Jiayu is very good about keeping phones updated for years and the S3 has all the latest components inside of it. Most people will never notice the difference between 4 and 3GB of RAM on Android. Both will be equally fast at switching and opening apps. Also the camera on the S3 is much better.

Znfone 2 doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor either.

          • Georgea

Is it updated to lollipop yet? Will it have 5.1 or maybe 5.2 (L)?

          • balcobomber25

Jiayu is one of the few companies that wont update a phone just to say we have the latest update. They will wait till they have a stable working version. Right now just about every phone that has received an update to Lollipop has been plagued by problems and required numerous updates to fix it, some still arent working right and many companies have long abandoned them. Does not having Lollipop affect anything you do on a daily basis? Would you want it to work 100% or want it just to have it and be filled with bugs?

Is gionee a good chinese brand? I’m seing lately nothing about it! But I’ve seen the elife e8 and i nearly cried! Elife e7 32gb rom 3 gb ram is available for nearly 180$ online!

          • balcobomber25

Gionee is an excellent brand. They don’t get the press that the other companies get but they are one of the top brands in both China and India. They are actually an OEM as well and build phone for many companies including HTC. They sell their phones in about a dozen countries under various names like Blu in the US.

          • Georgea

Damn that’s great news! That gionee elife e8 is mouth watering man! Any idea about it? Hands on review?

          • Georgea

Okey found info in here gizchina! 640$ that’s a lot! If it was near 400 i would definitely get it!

          • balcobomber25

Not the E8. But I used the E7 and it was one of the best camera phones I have ever personally used. The E8 just released this month, there should be hands on tests with it popping up soon.

          • Georgea

Man I’m one of your fans in here and in gizchina coz i know how helpful and kind you are!
Would you please write a detailed review about the meizu mx5 you have?
By detailed i mean a real life review not like those stupid specs listing that we unfortunately see from known websites! Ram usage, free ram, speed, smoothness, bugs, performance, camera, heat, battery, charging, fingerprint, root, roms, etc…
            Thanks mate!

          • balcobomber25

I am in the process of writing a review. I have only had about 4 days with the phone. When I do a review I like to really put it through its paces and test everything possible. My review will probably be out in about 2 weeks. So far I love the phone, but that could change. I am probably going to do an initial hands on in the Gizchina forums in the next few days.
