It looks like ZOPO’s latest flagship smartphones, the Speed 7 and 7 Plus, are almost ready to ship as unboxing photos of the larger Speed 7 Plus have been leaked online.
The packaging of the Speed 7 Plus looks quite simple and straightforward. It comes in a black outer box and a white inner box that fits the phone quite snugly. Instead of pulling off the black outer box, the inner box is pulled out through the bottom of the outer box akin to a drawer.
Once pulled out, the Speed 7 Plus itself is exposed and can be easily picked up. Under the device is a white cardboard lid where the rest of the device’s inclusions and accessories are kept including the device’s battery, an AC adapter, a USB cable, a warranty card, a user manual, and a pair of earphones.
The ZOPO Speed 7 and 7 Plus are now available for pre-order until August 25 on the official ZOPO online shop as well as through other online retailers. The Speed 7 Plus is priced at $229.99 while the Speed 7 costs $199.99.
Additionally, it was also leaked that ZOPO plans to release the system source code of the Speed 7 and 7 Plus publicly which will allow users and developers to customize and program their own version of the OS and create their own ROMs.
The ZOPO Speed 7 and 7 Plus both feature 1080p full HD resolution IPS displays, a MediaTek MTK6753 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core processor, a Mali-T720 FPU, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and support expandable storage via microSD card up to 64GB. Both are also equipped with 13.2-megapixel rear cameras with LED flash, 5-megapixel front-facing cameras, dual SIM dual standby support, and come with Android 5.1 Lollipop. Both also feature 4G LTE connectivity as well as Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. The only difference between the two is their sizes and batteries. While the Speed 7 comes with a 5-inch display, a 2500mAh battery, and measures 146mm x 71mm x 8.5mm, the Speed 7 Plus comes with a larger 5.5-inch display, a larger 3000mAh battery and measures 153.6 x 76.5 x 8.5 mm.
