QiKU Smartphone Prime Edition Packaging Leaked

by Martin 63 views7

It looks like QiKU is apparently working on two smartphones as the packaging of the lower-specced Prime version of their first flagship smartphone was leaked today by Weibo user @smfengbao.

qiku-prime-smartphone-leak-01The pictures show the white box of the device with the QiKU logo and company name on top. The packaging looks simple and straightforward. Sadly, much of the information written on the back of the packaging was blurred out except for a few of the device’s features such as an octa-core processor, a full HD 1080p resolution display, fingerprint sensor, and dual SIM dual standby 4G LTE connectivity.

According to a previous leak, this Prime version of the QiKU flagship will feature a MediaTek MT6753 1.5GHz octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. While the display of the device has been confirmed to have a resolution of 1080p, its actual size has yet to be revealed or confirmed.

Additionally, another report states that QiKU plans to sell this prime version of their flagship for only 999 Yuan.

After Redmi Note 2 game is changed, they can’t get away with 999 yuan price tag anymore IMO, if they are after selling it in large volumes. Whole point of creating that QiKU brand was fight back Xiaomi.

I guess that phone is a 5.5 incher with metal body and fingerprint scanner which previously leaked by CEO of 360. ZTE V3 is almost identical, but it didn’t be able to create a demand like Redmi Note 2.

          iz gud ?

5.5″ FHD, SD615, 16GB/2GB, 13MP/5MP camera pair, 3000mAh, metal body, fingerprint scanner on the back. It’s tall and wide similar to iPhone 6 Plus, it’s design similar to Honor 7, except circular back cam and fingerprint scanner and in between single LED flash. Gold or silver color options.

For a $160 China price tag there isn’t any other option with metal body and fingerprint scanner. If you are after that features it’s good.

In China, Coolpad is way more integrated with carriers (subsidized price or free with phone plan) than Xiaomi and Qihoo has all their own software to bundle into the system. That is what is different with this phone and the two companies behind it. Who knows if that’s enough, though.
