With the official announcement of Android 6.0 Marshmallow, many smartphone users have begun to wonder if and when the new version of Android will come to their devices or more specifically when companies like Huawei and Xiaomi will release the Android 6.0-based versions of their operating systems. In the case of Huawei, it looks like the company will soon launch the next version of its EMUI operating system, EMUI 4.0, alongside the launch of its next flagship smartphone.
We don’t know if the flagship smartphone being referred to is the upcoming Mate S or the recently leaked secondary flagship the company is working on but either way the new version of Huawei’s EMUI should not be very far away from release. Not only will EMUI 4.0 be released pre-installed in the company’s upcoming devices, it will also come to some of the company’s currently available devices including the Huawei P8, Mate 7, Honor 6 Plus, and more.
We’ll have to wait for Huawei’s official unveiling of EMUI 4.0 to see what the company has done to improve its operating system using the new features of Android 6.0 as well as the ones the company has created themselves.
