The OnePlus X has been officially announced and official samples of its 13-megapixel rear camera have been published by the company.
The camera on the OnePlus X features an ISOCELL 3M2 CMOS sensor, an f/2.2 aperture lens, and phase detection autofocus. The company claims that the camera, due to its phase detection autofocus and aperture combination, boasts of an autofocus speed of only 0.2 seconds.
The official sample pictures are pretty impressive with good color and sharpness. They give us a pretty good idea of the real capabilities of the OnePlus X’s camera. We’ll just have to wait for real world photo samples once the device is officially released late next month.
As for its other camera and the rest of its specifications, the OnePlus X features an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, a 5-inch full HD OLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 2.3GHz quad-core processor, an Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a 2525mAh battery.
As with the company’s other devices, the OnePlus X can only be purchased via invite at a price of $249 but the company has promised that they will be opening up sales for those without invites soon after the device’s official release on November 19.
