Smartphone manufacturers have tried many ways to add a more luxurious aspect to their smartphones and one of the most common is the use of faux leather on the bodies of their devices. But UHANS has taken it one step further with their U100 luxury smartphone by using genuine cowhide leather for their devices back cover.
The leather UHANS has used on the U100 is top cowhide leather which is usually formed from the outermost or top part of the cowhide. This type of leather contains no bonding or split hide which makes it superior in quality and more valuable than split-grain or faux leathers.
When compared to synthetic PU leather, genuine cowhide leather won’t easily peel, crack, or wear. Additionally, each cowhide leather cover is unique with different grain marks and lines so you’ll never see a cover identical to yours.
As for its other features and specifications, the U100 features a 4.7-inch HD 720p display, a MediaTek MT6735 1.3GHz 64-bit quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2200mAh battery.
Lastly, the UHANS U100 will come with its own leather case to fit and protect the device. The U100 is now available for pre-sale at several online retailers for a price of around $120.
