It looks like we won’t be seeing the Snapdragon 820 processor in the upcoming second-generation Smartisan flagship, the T2, as the company has just announced that the device will be launched in December which is earlier than the release of Qualcomm’s new processor. And according to a leak by Weibo user @MochaEQ, it won’t be much different than the company’s first flagship.
According to @MochaRQ, while the Smartisan T2 will still feature a 5-inch full HD 1080p display, it will no longer be powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor as previously rumored. It also looks like the T2 will also be skipping the rumored dual camera system, fingerprint identification, and pressure-sensitive display.
Additionally, it’s been previously rumored that Smartisan is also planning on releasing a Pro version of the T2 which will feature higher specifications. Hopefully, the T2 Pro will also come with all the features that were rumored to be on the T2. We’ll just have to wait for the official announcement to find out.
