Vivo Launches Flagship X6 and X6 Plus Smartphones

As expected Vivo today announced the launch of their next generation flagship smartphones for the year amid wide speculations. Vivo officially unveiled X6 and its big brother X6 Plus with prices starting from 2498 Yuan ($390 approx). Both the smartphones run on Android 5.1 Lollipop with FunTouch OS 2.5 out of the box.

This smartphone has kept the internet abuzz with numerous leaks over the past few weeks which we covered non-stop. Coming to Vivo X6, it sports a meticulous unibody metal design with metal accounting for 98.3% of the body. It flaunts a 5.2 inch Full HD i.e. 1080p AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass Gorilla Glass protection on the top. It packs a 64-bit 1.7 GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor under the hood coupled with 4GB of RAM as it was reported earlier. This smartphone comes with 32 GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128 GB with microSD card.

Vivo X6 comes equipped with 13 MP Phase Detection AutoFocus camera with LED flash along with an 8 MP front facing camera with wide angle lens to capture perfect selfies. On the back there is a 360 degrees unlocking fingerprint sensor that unlocks the smartphone under 0.2 seconds. Vivo has equipped this smartphone with Hi-Fi sound technology for offering a pleasurable audio experience.

A 2400 mAh battery is providing the juice to the smartphone which is slightly on the downside but Vivo plays it well by including dual charging technology which speeds up charging process. It is available in three colors – Gold, Rose and Rose Gold and the price starts from 2498 Yuan ($390 approx) for Unicom version and 2598 Yuan ($406 approx) for standard network model.

Vivo X6 Plus

Vivo X6 Plus is the upgraded version of flagship device Vivo X6. It flaunts a larger 5.7 inch Full HD AMOLED display. This variant too comes with 1.7 GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor coupled with 4 GB of RAM. Earlier it was rumored to come with Helio X20 10 core processor, which as you can see, is not the case.

With other specifications remaining same as that of X6, the storage on X6 Plus has bumped up to 64 GB. It features bigger 3000/4000 mAh batteries underneath along with dual charging technology. Like X6, X6 Plus too comes in two versions: dual 4G model with 3000 mAh battery is priced at 2998 Yuan ($469 approx) and the standard network model with 4000 mAh battery is priced at 3198 Yuan ($500 approx).

    4 gb ram for mtk6752??? Its just a gimmik… They are just fooling us… With mid range processor with low gpu power juz with 4 gb ram what we are supposed to do.
