Cases for the yet to be announced Microsoft Lumia 850 smartphone have been leaked online revealing part of the design of the upcoming smartphone.
The leaked pictures show two different cases with one coming in three different colors. Both seem to be a mix of hard plastic and rubber making them very protective cases for the Lumia 850 which we still don’t know whether will feature a plastic or metal body. While the multi-colored case is pretty plain and straightforward, the other case which comes in blue looks like it comes with its own rear stand which will enable the device to stand on its longer side or in a landscape orientation. It’s possible that this second case with the built-in stand may also come in other colors aside from the blue shown in the picture.
The pictures also reveal that the front of the Lumia 850 features a rather large bottom bezel which seems to not be used for anything but could still possibly be where we’ll find the device’s usual trio of capacitive touch keys. The top bezel then features the Microsoft label right below the earpiece. On the rear, it’s revealed that the 850 features a large center-mounted, round-shaped rear camera coupled with a single LED flash positioned on top of it. Lastly, a small round speaker grill can be found on the lower left side of the rear panel. Finally, the pictures reveal that the Lumia 850 may probably still keep the same design style of Microsoft in the past and come in several color options including the blue used in the leaked pictures.
The release date of the Lumia 850 is still unknown, it was previously expected to be released by the end of 2015 but with only a few days left in the year it is highly unlikely that it will be released by then so it would be more realistic to expect the device to release sometime in the first quarter of 2016.
