LeTV Le 2 Might Feature MediaTek Helio X20, Expected To Launch In Feb

LeTV, the popular device maker from China is grabbing every single opportunity its getting to make an impression. With having Snapdragon 820 already in its kitty, LeTV is out for the kill now with MediaTek’s 10-core processor Helio X20 likely to be highlighting feature of LeTV Le 2.

Gone are the days when users were highly satisfied and gratified with dual core and quad core chipsets running under their handsets. Its 2016 and welcome to the age of 10-core chipset. LeTV Le 2 is expected to bring on board the ultra powerful MediaTek 10 core Helio X20.

Not much is known about the smartphone right now other than that it can show up sometime around late February. LeTV has not officially announced anything but we can assume that LeTV is climbing the popularity charts much faster than imagined.

    Jesus! 10 cores… I remember when quad core came out, there was a huge ballyhoo about how hard it is to write software that’ll take advantage of hyper-threading etc.
    Is that no longer a concern? Can we easily write software that will use all 10 or by this time next year 200 core processors?

      Good question. Last I checked apart from some games and certain specialist softwares, not even in the x86-64 space that things have really changed much. Which is why the general objective now is to focus on efficiencies rather than uhh yeah 200 cores supremacy.
