It looks like Chinese smartphone manufacturer UHANS is expanding its line-up of smartphones by introducing the new “S” series of smartphones with the UHANS S1 as the first model in the new series. According to UHANS, unlike its U-series of smartphones that are designed to cater to specific tastes, the S-series is designed to be a “beauty outside and a monster inside.”
Looking at the picture of the S1, it features a slim and sleek design with what looks like 2.5D curved glass panels on the front and rear of the device coupled with a metal frame and, according to the company, the S1 only measures 6.8mm thick or 4.9mm at its thinnest points. Additionally, the 5-inch display is surrounded by only 1.3mm slim bezels making the device almost bezel-less.
The S1 is powered by a MediaTek MT6753 processor as well as 3GB of RAM and is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a multi-functional fingerprint sensor which we assume is mounted on the rear of the device. It will also feature a modified operating system based on Android.
The company says that they want the S1 to be the most affordable MT6753-powered smartphone in the market so the price of the new smartphone will be competitive but the company has yet to announce the price and the official release date of the S1.
