A set of slides that look like they belong to a Xiaomi presentation were leaked online today revealing the specifications and features of the upcoming and highly anticipated Xiaomi Mi 5. And while it was proven later on that the slides were not actually from Xiaomi, many of the specifications and details shown in the slides match previous rumors and reports.
According to the slides, the Mi 5 will feature a 5.2-inch full HD 1080p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, an Adreno 530 graphics chip, either 3GB or 4GB of RAM, either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, and a USB Type-C connector. The slides also reveal that the Mi 5 will support LTE Cat.10, a dual SIM card slot that supports dual standby, and a microSD card slot.
One feature listed in the slides that give them away as inaccurate and fake is that they claim that the Mi 5 will feature a 26-megapixel rear camera. While we would very much like the Mi 5 to really have such a powerful camera, the truth of the matter is that it will probably only come with a 16-megapixel rear camera as was revealed from an earlier leak that was released today that revealed not only the Mi 5’s rear camera but also its 4-Ultrapixel front-facing camera, and 2910mAh battery.
As for the rest of the specifications and features listed in the slides, we’ll just have to wait for more accurate information to be leaked online. The Xiaomi Mi 5 is rumored to be officially unveiled later this month on February 26 soon after the end of the annual Mobile World Congress.
