The 2016 Mobile World Congress is only a few days away and many manufacturers are set to unveil many of their products and technologies at the event. But every year there are companies that decide to announce their new products outside and away from the annual conference, companies like Weimei who has just announced a new flagship smartphone they’ve designed in collaboration with Gionee, one of China’s biggest smartphone manufacturers.

The WePlus is also equipped with a USB Type-C connector, a 3150mAh battery, and a microSD card slot that supposed up to 128GB cards. Weimei has also included the latest version of its WeOS with the WePlus.

According to Weimei, the WePlus will be available sometime this month in two color options – grey and silver. The company did not disclose how much the new smartphone would be priced though so we’ll have to wait for it to start showing up on online stores to find out how much it costs.

  • Forget the phone — I’m more interested in Weimei’s time traveling technology. You know, the same tech they used to jump here from the past when 720p was flagship material.
