Huawei Has Reportedly Offered A Huge Sum To Steal Lionel Messi From Samsung

As the competition among smartphone manufacturers grows day-by-day, specs start to have little differences between devices, and marketing starts to play bigger and bigger role in a company’s strategy to increase revenue.

That said, information has risen that Huawei is ready to offer a royal contract to Lionel Messi in an attempt to try to “steal” him from its rival sponsor, Samsung.

Right now, Messi has a contract with Samsung that reaches €3m. Rumors say that Huawei has a quite tempting offer for him, about $6m (about €5.3m) for a 2 or 3-year contract.

If rumors prove to be true, Huawei will be announcing the deal in the following days. This would be a big deal for the Chinese giant since Messi is considered one of the top, if not the best footballer on the planet right now. Association with a player like Messi could further enhance the brand image of the company internationally.
