by Suhaib 5

Meizu has made it official that M3 Note will be launched on April 6. But before the launch date arrives M3 Note has been making news for quite some time now. The brand recently teased an image with caption “Meet mBattery” on micro blogging website Twitter.

According to Meizu, mBattery is the new revolutionary way to power up Meizu M3 Note. As you can see in the image all the AA batteries carry a different color tone, and other than the fact that Meizu is making use of these AA batteries somehow, what it may lead to remains inconclusive at the moment . More details are expected to be revealed during the launch event on April 6.

1499? Even if that is for the 3GB RAM/32GB Storage variant… that’s MX range pricing. Here in Hangzhou I see plenty of Meizu users. Easily as common as Huawei and Xiaomi, and of course the iPhone, but the bulk I see are M1 or M2 range. Pricing the M3 so much above the competition from Xiaomi, not to mention other manufacturers, seems an odd strategy. Unless it’s got some really great unique selling points.

I feel the price is fine if the specs distinguish it from cheaper competition. But the M range has been a success for Meizu, and even if they aren’t happy about being caught up in a race to the bottom, not having a ~800/900rmb offering could damage their performance.
