Vernee Apollo Lite Will Deliver Lossless Music Via USB Type-C port!

by Dimitris Economou 1,117 views18

After upgrading the Apollo SoC to Helio X25, Vernee will introduce the Apollo Lite with the Helio X20 SoC that is the 2nd fastest SoC of Mediatek. But what is really cool about the Vernee Apollo Lite is that apart from the standard 3.5mm port it will carry, it will capable of delivering lossless digital music output through the USB-C port which means users will be able to listen to the real lossless digital music via Type-C headset! So, while other manufacturers drop the 3.5mm port completely, Vernee brings both worlds together.

dont fall for it yet bro … its a new company !

      • Samuel Odan

The company seems pretty legit to me

        • Muhammad Yasir

yes i does seem legit … but reviews will uncover the dark underbelly (if it has any , like all others) of Vernee…

until you are able to see that through the reviewers’ eyes , my brotherly advice would be to remain patient , even if on a protracted basis !

Add a great software, and we have a winner :d

    32GB RAM typo* @Dimitris

  • metalboyz

Stop with this type c lossless gimmick.
A mp3 file won’t become a lossless just because it delivered through usb c, what is lossy will stay lossy.

    • Tonyle

it’s no problem that you don’t use it to listen music.

  • Muhammad Yasir

    wait WHAT ?! i don’t get it !!!

“So, while other manufacturers drop the 3.5mm port completely, Vernee brings both worlds together.”

wth does THAT mean ? are vernee retaining the 3.5mm jack ? are they combining it with USB type C ?! wth ?!

    • Tonyle

it means the Apollo Lite has 3.5mm jack and Type-c port either.

      • Muhammad Yasir

        ohh…

  • James

don’t most, if not all modern android phones support USB out for music, so you can use with another DAC? (and most have a 3.5mm out too). Surely the lossless part is mainly about the source (file) and DAC used? Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m seeing nothing new here.

    • metalboyz

Yeah, the old micro usb with otg function can deliver lossless digital audio to work with ext dac.

      • Tonyle

i don’t think it’s the same performance as Type-C earphone can bring us 🙂

        • metalboyz

          Stop thinking, just try it.

  • Tonyle

you’d better learning something about Type-c earphone, there has a chipset in the earphone to make sure you can experience the lossless digital music. but your phone has to support to output this kind of music data.

    • metalboyz

You’d better learning something about lossless and lossy compression.

  • quodvadis

You can already output digital out to dac through micro-usb of today’s android phones. The lossless part is embarrassing to hear for people who understand what that even means, but marketing gonna marketing, sigh.
