As we have said before, evolution in battery technology is going very slowly, so the manufacturers in mobile industry try their best to improve battery life in various other ways. Some prefer to equip their devices with huge batteries and others to add fast charging capabilities like Vernee did with the Apollo Lite.
Qualcomm has its own technology, called Quick Charge, Mediatek has the PumpExpress and OnePlus has the Dash Charge (similar to its parent company Oppo with the VOOC flash charge). As Vernee uses Mediatek Helio X20, it incorporates PumpExpress 3.0, the charger manages to charge 54% of the 3,180mAh battery in just 30′! The full charge comes in 1h 14′ as you can see in the test video below.
Besides that test, a YouTube uploader conducted another charging test between iPhone 6S Plus, Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Huawei Nexus 6p. In this test, the iPhone came in the last place with 22% charged in 30′, Nexus 6P 2nd with 43% charge and Note 5 1st with 49% charge. In 1 hour they had 56%, 80% and 88% respectively as you can see in the following video. Except the Nexus 6P, the other two have smaller battery capacity but still, they charge slower than Apollo Lite. Good job Vernee!
