Blackview BV6000 was released about 2 months ago and it brought a super rugged device at a very affordable price to the market. The IP68 certified smartphone also brought high-end specs to a market that usually offers good protection but with mediocre specs. Now, it is time for another device of the series to be released: The Blackview BV6000S.
The smaller sibling of the BV6000 comes with the same IP68 certification that allows you to submerge the device deeper than 1m as it is considered water-proof and also dust-proof. This doesn’t mean that you should take it with you while scuba-diving as it isn’t guaranteed that it will withstand too much pressure in great depths but it is good enough for regular dives.
On the hardware side, it comes with a bit worse specs that its predecessor but it is no slouch either. It is equipped with MT6735A 1.3Ghz Quad-core instead of the Helio P10 SoC and 2GB RAM instead of 3GB. There is also a reduction in MP size of both cameras as they now offer 8MP/2MP rear/front combination. All other specs remain the same except for the price that is $50 less. For $149.99 you can now preorder the device at Aliexpress. Below you can see the full specs of the device.
