Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Specs Revealed Via Retail Box Label

by Suhaib 32

Xiaomi is going to hold a press conference on July 27 and rumors are rife that Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and Xiaomi Notebook is expected to launch, but there is no official confirmation yet. In latest series of events, an image which is supposed to be the retail box of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has made its way to the internet thereby revealing the specifications of the upcoming member of the Redmi Note family.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is now confirmed to flaunt a 5.5-inch 1080p display clad in metal, same as that of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. Earlier there were some rumors that suggested that Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 could come with a display larger than 5.5-inch but now as you can see this probably is not the case. In terms of processing power, this smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core chipset. Redmi Note 4 comes equipped with 3GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage support as revealed by the box above.

There are very few smartphones in the market which are packing a deca-core chipset under the hood and Redmi Note 4 is going to be a challenge for the competitors. If rumors are to be believed that then this is the base variant of Redmi Note 4 and the high-end version will come with Helio X25 chipset aided by 4GB RAM and 128GB native storage. In addition to that,  it was also reported that Redmi Note 4 could come with the dual rear camera with fingerprint sensor integrated home key.But this is just a rumor as of now as there is no credible evidence to support it other than some leaked images.

Further, Redmi Note 4 will feature the same 13MP Autofocus rear camera and 5MP front-facing camera. Rest of the specifications include a fingerprint sensor, dual-sim and entire network support. Though Android version is not mentioned but we believe it to be Android 6.0 Marshmallow based MIUI 8. In terms of battery, it will be fueled by a 4100mAh battery which will most probably support fast charging tech.

That being said, the box is of the Gold colored version of the phone which confirms that there are going to be more color options like Silver & Dark Grey, just like Redmi Note 3. As for the pricing, nothing is mentioned right now but as we know Xiaomi is famous for its aggressive pricing, we can expect it to be priced quite cheaper giving the rivals a run for their money.

Why would I want the X20 over the SD650?

    • bro-reac

      Same question here!!!!!

    • Maybe lower price

    • princetom

Bcoz is slightly be better, a bit powerful and cheaper

      • Karly Johnston

It is a tad faster on the cpu, but the GPU is much worse.

        • dazed1

On the cpu side is much faster, and cpu power is far more important then gaming on phones lolz.

          • Muhammad Yasir

plz tell me what else do we use CPU for in phones other than games …
i would really like to know

          • balcobomber25

            Everything else lol.

I’ll wait for the SD version with US LTE bands before considering replacing my Note 3 Pro.

    • I don’t think Xiaomi will release US 4G LTE version

      • TheOracle

Why not? My Note 3 Pro already supports Band 4 for Tmobile USA.

        • MaxPower

You want to double check that info

          • TheOracle

I don’t need to Max. I had this debate with Balco on another thread. There are two SD versions that support Band 4, Taiwan Special Edition and Chinese International. The Taiwan one also supports Band 20.

          • MaxPower

            That’s interesting.
Where did you buy that version of you don’t mind me asking?
Is there a way to check the bands through the software?

          • TheOracle

The Taiwan version is available on eBay, Aliexpress and the Taiwan MI site. The other one is available from Geekbuying and various others. I bought mine on Gearbest though it shows 1/3/7 it actually has Band 4 too. Check xda for the information.

          • Muhammad Yasir

are you sure the vendor isn’t messing with the phone’s PCB ??? maybe by soldering their modem or whatever on the board by themselves ?!

            sounds FISHY AF , eh @disqus_0lJZ8Bi7SK:disqus ??

          • TheOracle

Nope. It’s on the official website too. Aliexpress I don’t trust though. There’s a long thread on xda about the Taiwan edition and various other ones on Band 4 phones with US based buyers getting LTE on T-Mobile.

          • Muhammad Yasir

Holy shit … he had a debate with balco !

          • TheOracle

Yep. The great Balcobomber himself! I hear he’s ordering an Elephone. Lol

          • balcobomber25

How dare you spread vicious lies like that about me! LOL.

I hope your RN3 is a sign of things to come and not just a one off from Xiaomi.

          • TheOracle

I figured you would surface after I mentioned your favorite manufacturer.

I think they’ll be adding more bands in the future solely based on the demand for the RN3P outside their core markets. I expect a SD652 with B20 and hopefully at least B4.

          • balcobomber25

I need Bands 2 and 4 at a minimum and ideally Band 12 as well. Huawei, ZTE and a few others are all starting to offer all of these.

          • TheOracle

The only thing that would make me buy this over the Axon 7 is the battery life and price of course. I can live without lte because Tmobile H+ is plenty fast. I don’t need band 12 since I use a GV number so I guess I’m not as demanding. I still have my Zenfone 2 which covers everything anyway.

          • balcobomber25

I spend part of my summers at my families lake and without Band 12 I have no service at all. But overall I can live with 2 and 4.

For me it’s all going to come down to reviews. Every ZTE phone I have used in the past I had issues with, mostly software related. If all things are even it will be a real tough decision between Axon 7, Honor 8 and Idol 4s for me.

          • TheOracle

All three are good choices. I had the Nubia Z7 Max before the zenfone2 and loved it. The Z11 looks very nice too. Right now processors are excellent so battery life is my main concern. I’m not a big camera junkie so I have plenty of choices.

          • Muhammad Yasir

            lolwut ?! which model?

  • BING

what about the microsd card support ?

  • Marcone Negreiros

How soon do you think Redmi Note 3 Pro prices will drop after Redmi Note 4 is announced?

    • It’s best time to buy Redmi Note 3 Pro now, lots of shops dropped the price recently. Maybe Note 4 will release with a good price, in fact, it’s very difficult to buy it at official price.

      • Alex

Should I get a Mi Note with SD801 64GB or Redmi Note 3 Pro? Because in my country the Mi Note is about $15 more expensive. Is the camera better on Mi Note or RN3 Pro?

  • Muhammad Yasir

im betting the Redmi 4 pro will have DUAL CAMS !
