by Dimitris Economou 2

Ahead of the Mi5S announcement tomorrow,  Xiaomi announced that it has sold more than 2.3 million units of Redmi Note 3 in India. This makes it the bestselling smartphone in the country till now.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 pro

The Redmi Note 3 was launched back in March in India. This means that every 7 seconds, one device was sold. The Redmi Note 3 is still one of the best smartphones under RS9999. Consider it packs a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, fingerprint sensor, 16MP rear camera, 4G VoLTE support, Infrared sensor and a 4000mAh battery.

The price of the device has seen a great reduction over the last weeks. Even on Chinese retailers that always sell at higher prices. You can find it at $125 for the Note 3 Pro 2GB/16GB. And the 3GB/32GB will set you back only $160.

So, to celebrate the success Xiaomi runs a contest from September 26th till 29 where you can win coupons up to Rs. 100 or Redmi Note 3 if your win by playing the game.

This is because Redmi Note 3 pro is using Qualcomm. So Xiaomi can sell in India without need to pay any troll money to Ericcson

So it is stupidly confusing why Redmi Note 4 is back to using Mediatek SOC ??????
