We have not been hearing from Chinese smartphone maker Gionee for quite some time but seems like this is not the case anymore. The brand has released a new teaser which reveals that Gionee is going to take the wraps of two smartphones going by the name Gionee S9 and Gionee S9T on November 15.
Gionee S9 will feature the dual camera setup as revealed by the teaser. The dual camera setup has become a trademark feature of many flagship devices in recent times. Prior to this Gionee S9 made an appearance on benchmark website Antutu and a day earlier this smartphone made its way to TENNA.
As for the specs, Gionee S9 will be debuting with a 5.5-inch 1080p display and will be packing an Helio P10 chipset under the hood. It will come equipped with 4GB RAM and 64GB will be available as onboard storage. That being said, those seeking storage expansion will be able to use a 128GB micro SD card as well.
Gionee S9 will be running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and will feature dual camera setup comprising of 13MP + 5MP sensors on the rear with a 13MP snapper present upfront.
As for Gionee S9T, it will come with exact same specs with one major difference. Gionee S9T will be powered by an octa-core chipset clocked at 2.0GHz. Apart from clock speeds the rest of the specifications will remain same. We will get to know more about the specifications and the pricing information once the Gionee unveils these smartphones.
