Bluboo Dual with Kirin 960 among the fastest dual camera Android device

by Dimitris Economou 10

Dual camera setup seems to be the most trendy in the mobile phone field this year. Following the step of Vivo X9, Gionee S9, Xiaomi 5S Plus, and Huawei Mate 9, it’s confirmed that Chinese manufacturer, Bluboo also plan to announce a new smartphone with dual camera design, named Bluboo Dual.

Bluboo Dual

If you are familiar with the Bluboo brand, you must know that they mainly release mid-range handsets. But there’s a rumor that the Bluboo Dual will feature Kirin 960 processor. If it’s true, that would be really exciting. As the latest generation of Kirin chipset, Kirin 960 features extraordinarily impressive performance.

Packing four A73 cores and four A53 cores, it delivers 18% faster performance than previous gen. Besides the Mali-G71 MP8 GPU increases its performance by 180% compared to previous generation. As for memory, the Kirin 960 supports LPDDR4 and UFS2.1 flash memory, the DDR performance increases 90%.

Newest Huawei Mate 9 features Kirin 960 processor and they are extremely proud of the fast and efficient performance of the device. So if Bluboo Dual were powered by the Kirin 960 processor, it’s promising to be among the fastest dual camera android smartphone. Well, now we’ll have to wait and see if these details are accurate, but thankfully not too long.

  • I saw Bluboo in their official facebook saying something like that and it was definitely a type-o, or false advertising.
They don’t have an X20 phone(which is pretty easy to get in China).
Only viable rumor so far is that Meizu’s next Flagship might sport the Kirin 960.
And that is a big “might”
