The Meizu M5s, the company’s latest handset, has been slowly revealed and teased these past two months, first with leaked images of an unknown Meizu smartphone and then two TENAA certification listings that had identical specifications – probably for Chinese and global markets. And it looks Meizu is planning to finally launch the new device before the end of the month as the company has started sending out invites to a press conference dated for January 27.
According to rumors, the company plans to launch the M5s at the event and release it after the end of the Chinese New Year celebrations. It’s been previously leaked that Meizu plans to launch six new devices this year with the first to be released in February and it looks like the M5s will be the first of the six new devices. The Meizu M5s is rumored to feature a 5.2-inch display, a MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor.
The rest of the M5s’ specifications based on the revealed TENAA listings include three RAM and storage options at 2/3/4GB as well as 16/32/64GB, respectively. It’s also rumored to feature a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, a 2,930mAh battery, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. We’ll just have to wait for the event on January 27 to confirm all the rumors and leaks of the Meizu M5s and find out when it will actually come out and how much it will be priced.
