Samsung has already started rolling out the Android Nougat update for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge in some regions. The time of update according to Samsung will vary from country to country.

Samsung Android 7.0 Nougat

The official Samsung account on Weibo has however said the Nougat update for residents in Mainland China will begin in mid-February. So if you own any of the devices listed below, you should prepare for the update next month:

  • S7 and S7 Edge
  • S6 and S6 Edge
  • Galaxy Note 5
  • Galaxy S6 Edge+
  • Galaxy Tab A with S-Pen (2016)
  • Galaxy Tab S2 (LTE unlocked version)
  • Galaxy A3 (2016)
  • Galaxy A8 (2016)

Samsung says the Nougat update will bring a new system UX, faster speeds for downloading apps, and a faster system operation speed. You will also get new android features like split-screen multitasking, threaded notifications, and an always-on Doze mode.
