TENAA telecom authority of China has recently approved two Samsung phones with model numbers SM-A3050 and SM-A3058. These model numbers seem to be network variants of the same smartphone as they are packed with identical specifications. Also, the specs of these handsets are very similar to the Samsung Galaxy M30 phone that was recently unveiled in India. According to a reliable Chinese tipster, the SM-A3050/8 will be hitting the Chinese markets as Galaxy A40s.

The Galaxy A40s is equipped with an Infinity-U shaped notched AMOLED display of 6.4 inches. It carries support for HD+ resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core processor that includes four CPU cores gunning at 1.8 GHz and the remaining four CPU cores working at 1.6 GHz. The processor configurations suggest that the handset could be powered by Exynos 7904 SoC.

TENAA has certified 4 GB, 6 GB and 8 GB RAM variants of the Galaxy SM-A3050/8 smartphone. Its storage variants are 64 GB and 128 GB. In India, the smartphone is available in two models such as 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. The One UI based Android 9 Pie OS comes preinstalled on the device. There is a fingerprint scanner on the backside of the device.

The alleged Galaxy A40s will be equipped with 13-megapixel + 5-megapixel + 5-megapixel triple camera. For capturing selfies, its features a front-facing shooter of 16-megapixel. The handset includes a minimum capacity battery of 4,900mAh. The typical size of battery will be 5,000mAh and it will carry support for rapid charging.

The smartphone will be made available in China in color variants such as Black, Blue and Gold. In India, the Galaxy M30 comes in two color options like Black and Blue. There are no leaks on the launch date of the Galaxy A40s for China Now that the smartphone has passed certification, it is likely to go official soon.
