During Google I/O 2019 annual developers conference, the Mountain View-based company announced some new features of the upcoming Android Q and also released its third beta version — Android Q Beta 3.

Before this new version of Android gets a stable update, it will pass through three more beta stages. The final version of the Android Q is expected to start rolling out in the third quarter of this year.

Huawei Android Q Smartphones

Now, China-based Huawei has become the first smartphone maker to officially announce a list of smartphones that will be updated to the upcoming Android Q version. The company announced that it will open applications for the beta testing and co-operate with Android app developers to ensure compatibility and optimization.

Huawei has announced the list of eight smartphones in the first batch that will get updated to the final version of the Android Q. The list includes Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X, Mate 20 Porsche Edition, Huawei P30, P30 Pro, Honor V20, and Honor Magic 2.

Do note that this is the list of smartphones from Huawei that will be receiving the final version of the Android Q OS. Currently, there’s no information available about the timeline for this update and we’ll just have to wait for the company to share more details later.

The upcoming major Android release introduces several new features, including Dark Mode, Focus Mode, Family Link, and improvements to the privacy and security features.
