Apart from smartphones, one other area that Meizu is renowned is in the manufacture of powerful headphones. The Meizu EP lineup is one of the top-grossing range of headsets in China and sales overseas are also impressive. During the Meizu 16X launch event yesterday, the company also unveiled a new headset dubbed Meizu EP2C. The headset comes with a 129 yuan ($18) price tag and is scheduled to go on sale at 10 AM on June 10.Meizu EP2C

The Meizu EP2C uses a USB Type-C interface. In terms of appearance, the headset adopts a new one-piece streamlined design with distinct ridge lines and a straight arc to the root of the earmuffs, freeing the rigid shape of the straight line. Moreover, the new curve design not only facilitates the space created in the ear cavity and guides the sound into the ear, but also is comfortable to wear and fits the auricle.

Meizu EP2C

The outer cavity is made of PC+ABS material while the part that goes into the ear is made of high-elastic rubber, which is soft and comfortable. The earphones are lustrous and sleek and are also wear and dirt-resistant. It has a built-in 14mm double material synthetic diaphragm, the horn diaphragm is made of ultra-fine bio-fiber paper film, and the edge film is made of TPU high compliant material. The moving coil unit is made of neodymium iron boron magnet with 32 ohm + 105db low resistance and high sensitivity design.

The headset can be used with a mobile phone as well as computers and any other music player with a Type-C port.
