Honor‘s been hard at work making the latest version of their Mi Band competitor, the Honor Band 5. Company CEO Zhao Ming has even gone to Weibo to show off the new wearable, giving us a pretty good look at its design. He even mentions a bunch of the new features coming on the little gadget. So, let’s take a closer look at the Honor Band 5.

First off, let’s take a look at what’s new in the Honor Band 5’s design. Well, we’d like too, but it’s a very simple design, and there’s not too much different here next to the old Honor Band 4. We’ve still got the same circle button here too. Overall, it seems to be very similar to the old Honor Band 4, though the features are where all the new stuff is.

Zhao Ming teases a whole slew of new features for the Honor Band 5. According to him, the wearable can monitor your blood oxygen levels, detect fatigue and listlessness, record poor sleep and even detect hypoxemia dizziness. Along with that, we’ve also got all the standard health band features like heart rate monitoring and the like.

The company launched the Honor Band 4 last year along with the Honor 8X. There was even a Honor Band 4 Running Edition, which was exactly the same device, just with more fitness band features. Considering how we’re expecting the Honor 9X pretty soon, we can also probably expect to see the Honor Band 5 launch alongside it just like before.
