Xiaomi has launched a new third-party product on the Youpin platform that you might find interesting. The new product is a portable printer that can fit into the pocket. The device is dubbed Youdao Memobird G4 pocket printer and is basically a thermal printer which can pair to a smartphone via Bluetooth connectivity.
The device comes with a printer app that should be installed on a smartphone. There a built-in multiple questions database on the printer app, which supports the common exercises from elementary school to high school. The app also supports quickly taking photos and accurately identifying the content of exercises. Not only can you see the answer, but you can also get the authoritative analysis in one second, and the process is clearer.
The printer has a built-in rich print template to make it easy to instantly print what you want to print. But that has to be in black and white. It utilises an high-definition print head with 306dpi. Data transmission is via Bluetooth while the printing is done through thermal printing technology. Thus, there is absolutely no need to add ink at all.
The Youdao Memobird G4 pocket printer has a dimension of 86.8×79.3x39mm and weighs just 165g. It also packs a built-in 900mAh lithium battery that can be charged in just 2 hours. The battery can withstand the continuous printing of 8 rolls of paper.
The device is presently available to preorder on Xiaomi Youpin for 299 yuan($42). It is expected to start shipping soon.
