Vivo and the company’s product manager Li Xiang has been teasing about the company’s upcoming experimental smartphone — Vivo NEX 3. So far, the company has confirmed “Waterfall Screen” on the NEX 3, 3.5mm headphone jack, and 5G support.

Now, a real image of the Vivo NEX 3 smartphone has surfaced online, which gives us a clear look at the phone’s design and just the render that was teased earlier. It shows that the phone with “Waterfall Screen” design but it is not as curvy as the renders showed.

Further, there are still significant bezels surrounding the display, especially at the top and the bottom, which is odd given that the company has been touting about nearly 100 percent screen-to-body ratio.

However, there’s no notch visible on the phone’s display, suggesting that the phone will either have a pop-up front-facing camera or will adopt the in-display camera technology. The company has reportedly solved the “Window Effect” issue faced by the under-display camera sensor. So, there’s a possibility that we could see this technology being used in this upcoming Vivo NEX-series smartphone.

In Waterfall Screen, the display is curved on the left and the right side, allowing the company to offer a bezel-less design. Many expect the smartphone to come powered by the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus octa-core processor.

Recently, Li Xang shared a partial screenshot of the upcoming Vivo NEX 3’s home screen which shows two 5G icons in the top-left and top-right corner. This confirms that the NEX 3 will come with dual 5G connectivity support.

Currently, there’s nothing much known about this upcoming smartphone. As per the reports, the upcoming Vivo NEX series smartphone could get launched in China next month. Notably, there’s no confirmation about the launch date from the company so far but we expect to know more about this phone in the coming weeks.
