The OnePlus 7 Pro smartphone that was announced earlier this year had arrived as the first OnePlus phone with 90Hz refresh rate display. The display was dubbed as Fluid Display by the company. The OnePlus 7T smartphone that has gone official in India today is also equipped with a 90Hz refresh rate Fluid Display. The OnePlus 7T Pro that is expected to go official in the coming month is also going to feature Fluid Display. In fact, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei confirmed during the OnePlus 7T launch event that all the upcoming OnePlus phones will be equipped with Fluid Displays.

It is well-known that the main feature the Fluid Display is that offers an amazing refresh rate of 90Hz. Moreover, Fluid Displays coupled with optimized hardware and software offer 38 percent fast touch response than typical displays on other Android smartphones. Also, OnePlus has collaborated with Qualcomm to fine tune performance of the device to allocate more CPU cores to smoothly run the UI when there is increase in the refresh rate. The animations of the UI have also been optimized to make the most of the 90Hz refresh rate in order to fluid usage experience. Pei has claimed that the company has over 150 animation improvements across OxygenOS.

OnePlus 7T display

 

As far as the OnePlus 7T is concerned, it comes with a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED display that offers 1080 x 2400 pixels full HD+ resolution and 1000nits of brightness along with HDR10+ support. The OnePlus 7 Pro that had gone official earlier this year had a 6.67-inch Fluid AMOLED notch-less display with curved edges. It offers 90Hz fresh rate 800nits brightness, quad HD+ resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and HDR10+ support.

Rumors surrounding the OnePlus 7T Pro have revealed that it is equipped with a 6.65-inch Fluid AMOLED display with notch-less design. The 90Hz display is expected to deliver quad HD+ resolution of 1440 x 3100 pixels and 516ppi pixel density.
