Xiaomi launched the Hey Plus smart band in August last year on the Youpin platform. The smart band was released just after the Mi Band 3 was unveiled and it came with a specs lineup that dwarfed that of the Band 3. The Hey Plus came with a bigger display as well as a stronger NFC function and was well received. An upgraded version dubbed Hey Plus 1s NFC version has now been launched. The new version is presently on pre-sale on Jingdong for 179 yuan ($25). This is cheaper than the 229 yuan ($34) price tag which last year’s model adopted.Hey Plus 1S

The new Hey+ 1s comes with a new design that saw a change from the elliptical shape of the Hey+ 1 to a rectangular shape with well-chamfered edges. The new smart band utilises an 0.95-inch AMOLED  which supports 24-bit true color and has a pixel density of up to 282ppi. The display is equally covered with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass which is also more wear-resistant and scratch-resistant. The device also supports 50ATM water resistance. It uses a rubber strap with a buckle similar to that of a regular wristwatch.

The device also comes with a built-in multi-functional NFC chip with support for bus card and contactless payment. It supports Alipay offline payment. The wearable supports bs cars in 248 cities in China. The NFC also enables the fitness tracker to function as a virtual key for smart door locks.

Of course, you also get the regular heart rate monitor, sleep monitor, call notification, message alert, alarm and other features on most smart bands.

In terms of battery life, Hey Plus 1S packs a 120mAh battery which can last up to 18 days on standby mode. The smartwatch runs a self-developed operating system known as heyOS.

On a final note, the Mi Ban 4 design is almost similar to the Hey Plus 1 so we may be seeing the Mi Band 5 with a design similar to this one.
