“When is the POCO F2 coming?” ”Is the POCO F2 coming soon?” “Is the POCO F2 launching this year?” The questions above and their many variations have become a regular sight in the replies to tweets from the official Xiaomi India Twitter account or that of its executives. It has become so annoying that the general manager of POCO India, C Manmohan (@cmanmohan), even tweeted about it.

Today is a lucky day for POCO fans as Manu Kumar Jain, the head of Xiaomi India, may have just unintentionally teased when the much-waited POCO F2 will arrive.
The Xiaomi executive shared a photo of him and the team lead of Redmi Business, Sneha Tainwala, having a discussion and in that photo lies the clue to the POCO F2’s arrival date.
We have a new CXO at @XiaomiIndia: #CDO! 🤩 Chief Diwali Officer! 🤓
This is me having a debate with @SnehaTainwala, who leads #Diwali planning for smartphones! 👇
Am scared to get into meetings with #bosswoman Sneha. I spoke abt targets & became a target myself. 🤣#Xiaomi ❤️ pic.twitter.com/cGbYKXHYJs

Directly behind both company executives is a whiteboard with what appears to be a timeline of product launches. If you zoom in close, you will see the timeliness shows a Mi Pad slated for May and June while further down we see the (POCO) F2 written under the last quarter of the year.
Don’t get too excited as nothing is set in stone. First, the Mi Pad (4/4 Plus) didn’t launch in India this year, which means the information on the board are actually outdated or maybe, just maybe, they are not even for this year but for next year. If the timeline is for next year, that means POCO fans have an extra year of waiting. Yeah, we know it is sad but sincerely, the Redmi K20 Pro is there to purchase.
There are other products in the image like the MI MIX 3 Forbidden Palace Edition which is shown on the table alongside the Redmi K20/K20 Pro, and the Redmi Note 8 Pro because that is the only Redmi phone with a green hue. The Redmi Note 8 Pro has been confirmed to launch in India but will likely not arrive until next month at the earliest.
