While we wait for the official launch of the rumored Redmi Note 8T, Giztop has already listed the phone up for pre-order on its website. What’s even more interesting is that the phone is said to ship from next week itself.
Giztop has listed the Redmi Note 8T Global version for $199. However, the official price tag at launch should be slightly lower than this. Note that there’s only one storage variant listed on the website, featuring 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM in gray color.

The phone is identical to the regular Redmi Note 8 version, featuring quad-cameras, a fingerprint sensor at the back, and a waterdrop display upfront. So the big difference between the ‘Redmi Note 8T’ and the regular ‘Note 8’ will be the added support for NFC. Internationally, people use NFC on a wider scale than in countries like India. So the new device should be targeted at the global markets.
Apart from this, the 8T will have the same specifications as the regular version, which includes Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor, a 6.3-inch dot-notch FHD+ display, a 48MP+8MP+2MP+2MP quad-camera setup at the back, and a 4000mAh battery. Note that the Giztop listing shows that the phone will come preloaded with MIUI 10 based on Android 9.
Given that Giztop has already listed the phone up for sale, we expect a soft launch of the Redmi Note 8T very soon.
