Today, Vivo has announced that the company’s upcoming smartphone — Vivo S5 will be launched at an event in Hangzhou on 14th November. Based on the recent reports, the phone is expected to be the first to arrive with diamond-shaped quad camera system.

At the event, Cai Xukun, who’s the brand ambassador for the Vivo S-lineup, will also be making at appearance. Recently, he was spotted holding this upcoming smartphone in a promo video for a fashion magazine.

The smartphone’s recent teaser had revealed that the device will be arriving in vibrant colors, indicating that the Vivo S5 could be targeted towards younger audience in China. The rear side of the phone appeared pinkish towards the left and right edges while center portion look bluish.

The video revealed that the Vivo S5 has a 3.5mm audio jack on its top edge and it has a diamond-shaped quad camera setup on its back. It appears that the phone is equipped with an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

Currently, there’s no information available about the specifications of the Vivo S5 smartphone but the device is expected to be a mid-range one. However, we expect the phone’s full specifications to get leaked ahead of the official announcement.

Meanwhile, the company is also gearing up to launch Vivo X30 5G smartphone in partnership with Samsung. The device is expected to come powered by the Samsung Exynos 980 chipset which will be equipped with a 5G modem for NSA and SA network support. The Vivo X30 5G is expected to go official in China on 7th November.
