Huawei is rumored to announce the new Huawei Nova 7 series in April. The Nova 7 lineup is rumored to include Nova 7 5G, Nova 7 Pro 5G and Nova 7 SE 5G. These phones are expected to debut in April. Yesterday, the alleged Nova 7 series phone with 40W fast charge support was spotted at China’s 3C database. Today, a Chinese tipster has revealed that key specs of the upcoming Huawei Nova 7 SE phone citing supply chain resources as source.

The leak reveals that the Huawei Nova 7 SE will be powered by a 5G-enabled mid-range Kirin chipset. Currently, Huawei makes use of the older Kirin 710F and the more Kirin 810 to power its mid-range phones. Both of them lack support for 5G connectivity. Last year, the Nova 5i Pro that debuted in June became the first Huawei phone to arrive with Kirin 810. The Nova 6 SE that debuted in December is also driven by the Kirin 810 chipset.

It is likely that the Huawei Nova 7 SE may end up as the first phone with the new mid-range Kirin 5G SoC. A leakster had revealed at the end of 2019 that Kirin 820 5G chipset will succeed Kirin 810. Some of the key details of Kirin 820 5G had appeared earlier this year. The first devices to feature could be Huawei Nova 7 or Honor 10X.

Coming back to the specs of the Huawei Nova 7 SE, it is expected to feature a 6.5-inch punch-hole display and a side-facing fingerprint reader. The battery capacity of the Nova 7 SE is yet to be revealed, but it is expected to support 22.5W fast charging. The rear camera setup of the phone may have a 64-megapixel primary shooter.
