During the launch of MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset, it was revealed that iQOO will be the first manufacturer to launch a smartphone powered by this processor. Recently, it was confirmed that the device is named iQOO Z1 5G and will launch on 19th May.

Now, just days ahead of the official unveiling, the company has shared an image on its Weibo account which reveals that the smartphone has managed to score more than 530,000 points on AnTuTu Benchmark.

Although the benchmark score of the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset is not as high as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, it is still among the most powerful smartphone chipsets, easily ranking in the top three.

The chipset is an enhanced version of the Dimensity 1000 SoC launched a few months ago and comes with MediaTek’s proprietary 5G UltraSave technology that helps save battery consumption. It can also automatically switch between the networks and dynamically adjusts working mode of the modem.

It is powered by four Cortex-A77 cores up to 2.6GHz and four Cortex A55 cores up to 2 GHz. The chipset also uses the latest HyperEngine 2.0 technologies to optimise the smartphone for a more fluid and immersive gaming experience.

As for the iQOO Z1 5G, the smartphone is now confirmed to come with support for 144Hz refresh rate screen and users will be able to switch between refresh rate options like 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz and 144Hz.

Renders of the upcoming device have also been shared by the company which shows that the smartphone has a rectangular-shaped camera module in the top-left corner which has three camera sensors. It also reveals that the device will be available in at least two colors.

The phone is expected to come with support for 44W fast charging technology. As for the pricing, leaks indicate that the 6GB RAM + 128GB Storage variant of the device could be priced at 2,698 yuan (~$352). The iQOO Z1 5G is currently up for reservation in China.
